New Sounds 2007 will take place at Praiatur Hotel, located at Ingleses Beach, one of the 42 beaches of Florianópolis, in the South of Brazil. Note: if you prefer not to stay at Praiatur Hotel, we strongly recommend that you book a hotel in the district of Praia dos Ingleses because transportation from downtown or other districts may take more than an hour.

Transfer: Van: R$ 50,00 per person (airport-Praiatur). The same amount will be charged on the way back. The transfer must be arranged with Campus Turismo (contato@campusturismo.com.br) by November 16.
Taxi: approximately R$ 90,00 per trip (airport-Praiatur).
Public transportation: - from the intercity bus station (Rodoviária Hercílio Luz): go to the city Central Bus Terminal (TICEN), which is about 300 m to the right of the bus station. At TICEN you must take the bus “Canasvieiras”, which will head to TICAN (Bus Terminal of Canasvieiras). In this terminal it is necessary to change the bus again (you don’t need to pay for another ticket). At TICAN you should take the bus “Ingleses”. Praiatur Hotel is very well known, so please just ask the driver to stop close to it. Don’t worry if you don’t understand the driver’s assistant’s answer! Sometimes not even Brazilians from other regions do! Saying “Praiatur, please” should be enough. - from the airport: you should take a bus to the Central Bus Terminal (TICEN). The city buses which circulate at the airport go to TICEN. Please look for the bus stop at your right when you leave the airport building. As soon as you get to TICEN follow the instructions described above.
